Kho tri thức ban đầu gồm 20 , 50 câu hỏi thường gặp, 6 , trích xuất từ 18 nguồn y khoa chính thống (, , WHO, ACR). 55 trường hợp kiểm thử an toàn bao phủ các cần đi khám.

Title: Building an AI Assistant to Support Older Adults in Musculoskeletal Self-Care and Early Detection of Degenerative Signs for Silver-Age Health

Student Researcher: Vo Tran Gia Hieu — Class 10A6, Xuan Dinh High School

Medical Advisor: Traditional Medicine Practitioner Vu The Sy

Supervising Teacher: [Name — to be filled by student]

Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions affect 60–80% of older adults in Vietnam, causing pain, reduced mobility, and increased disability risk. Accessing reliable medical information remains challenging, while misinformation is widespread.

This research develops an AI assistant following a "knowledge-first, AI-second" approach, combining Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) with pre- and post-response safety filters. The system provides reference information only — it never diagnoses, prescribes medication, or replaces medical professionals. Every response cites sources reviewed by the medical advisor.

The initial knowledge base comprises 20 knowledge cards, 50 FAQs, and 6 evidence cards extracted from 18 authoritative medical sources (Vietnam Ministry of Health, Hanoi Medical University textbooks, WHO, ACR). 55 safety test cases cover red-flag symptoms requiring immediate medical attention. 18 risks have been identified with mitigation plans.

The technical infrastructure uses FastAPI, Vue 3, MSSQL 2022, and IIS 10 on Windows Server 2022, with accessibility-first interface design for older adults (large fonts, large buttons, voice support).

Foundation-phase results show 20/21 quality gates passed. Next steps include expanding the knowledge base, building the RAG backend, running a 100-question , and conducting a 20–30 participant feasibility pilot with older adults.

Keywords: AI assistant, musculoskeletal, older adults, RAG, medical safety, knowledge base, accessibility
